Arilyn is a young professional concert harpist currently studying at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music under Gretchen van Hoesen. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Humanities and Art, with a focus in Psychology and Music Performance. During the course of her fifteen years of study, she has had the privilege to participate in masterclasses with Marisa Robles, Fabrice Pierre, Catherine Michel, Marie-Claire Jamet, Park Stickney, Isabelle Moretti, and Gabriella Dall'Olio.
For the last thirteen years, she has worked in orchestras and chamber ensembles across the United States. A recent highlight of her chamber career includes being chosen as one of the Major Artist Winners for the Pittsburgh Concert Society as a flute and harp duo with flutist Evan Curatolo. She has toured internationally through South America, Europe, and South Africa. Throughout her ensemble career, she has performed in halls worldwide including Heinz Hall (Pittsburgh), Symphony Hall (Boston), the Musikverein (Vienna), and the Centro Cultural Kirschner (Buenos Aires). Recent highlights of her orchestral work include working with James Blachly for a performance of the Negro Folk Symphony, and the premiere of a variety of student works with the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic.
